![]() It really was a CPU for those who wanted to experiment with overclocking without risking too much money. It was meant to honour the older Pentiums (I-III) and their overclocking history. ![]() Thus Intel allowed overclocking with cheaper motherboards and since it was a dual core (cheap) CPU it meant that it's overclocking headroom was huge. It was an anniversary edition CPU and it's sole purpose in the market was cheap overclocking. If I'm not mistaken this was never marketed as a gaming CPU.
